Hemp Milk

Making your own hemp milk is easier than you'd think! It only requires an handful of ingredients and takes no time all! Our vanilla hemp milk is great to have with granola, add to porridge or use in baking too. The chocolate hemp milk is definitely a bit more indulgent & perfect to drink on its own - either with ice or heated up as a delicious hot chocolate! Check out our Australian grown hemp seeds here.

Hemp Milk-Saint Hemp

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • Vanilla flavour
    • 1/2 cup of Saint Hemp hemp seeds
    • 3 cups of filtered water
    • 1 pitted date
    • A pinch of sea salt
    • 1 tsp of vanilla powder/extract
  • Chocolate flavour
    • 1/2 cup of Saint Hemp hemp seeds
    • 3 cups of filtered water
    • 2-3 pitted dates (depending on how sweet you like it)
    • 2 tbsp of raw cacao powder
    • A pinch of sea salt
    • 1 tsp of cinnamon powder

Method

  1. Vanilla: place all the ingredients into a blender and blend at full speed for few minutes until you have a frothy “milk”. You can either strain the milk through a nut milk bag or enjoy as it is. We personally don’t find the need to strain it, but if you like a super smooth consistency you might want to. Pour the milk into airtight jars or bottles and store in the fridge for 3-4 days. Separation is totally normal, just make sure to give it good shake before enjoying it!

  2. Chocolate: if you don’t want to strain your milk, just go ahead and place all the ingredients into the blender and blend until frothy and creamy. If you do wish to strain it, then add the hemp seeds and water only. Strain it through a nut milk bag, pour the milk back into the blender, add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into a bottle and store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
